Situated in the quiet and idyllic hamlet of Pakenham, this beautifully presented lodge with a large open-plan living space is a peaceful retreat for two.
Built in 2019 using a traditional oak timber frame, the lodge is split over two floors with a spacious open-plan living area on the ground floor and a bedroom with shower room on the first floor. The decor of the open-plan living space is sympathetic of the property's style with warm tones of terracotta complimenting the exposed oak beams. The sitting area has a luxurious red sofa bed and boasts a number of mod-cons such as a smart television and bluetooth speaker. The bi-fold doors in the sitting area open onto a small outdoor dining area with pretty flower beds perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee in the sun. In the cooler months the underfloor heating makes for a cosy night in after a long day of exploring. Upstairs the bedroom has twin 3' single beds and the Velux window creates a bright and airy feel. The lodge benefits from a well-appointed shower room adjoining the bedroom, as well as an additional cloakroom on the ground floor. Outside there is parking for up to two cars on the private driveway.
The local surrounding area is a fine example of idyllic Suffolk countryside and the village is home to England's oldest surviving working water mill which is less than 5 minutes' walk from the lodge.
