The market town of Grantham is just 1.5 miles away, and was once an old stage coaching route to London, and still boasts several former coaching inns today. The National Trust properties of Woolsthorpe Manor, birthplace and home of Isaac Newton, and Belton House, the location of BBC`s Pride and Prejudice are worth a visit, as are Belvoir Castle, Grimsthorpe Castle, Melton Museum, Millgate Museum and Barnsdale Gardens, home to Jeff Hamilton`s 38 inspiring gardens.
