On the Strand itself, you can saunter in to Somerset House, the renowned record office. Somerset House contains a number of wonderful attractions, such as an artisan restaurant and deli, the awe-inspiring Courtauld Gallery, in the winter time a fun and family friendly ice rink! The river is just a few minutes' walk away and from here you can view some of the iconic sights of the city, including Big Ben and the London Eye.
