This stunningly beautiful island is a walkers paradise with spectacular views and wildlife to be glimpsed including red deer and white-tailed eagles. Visit some of the pristine beaches take a drive to stunning Luskentyre with its white sands and crystal-clear water. A day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St Kilda is a must for wildlife lovers where you can see a huge array of wildlife undisturbed in its natural habitat. Boats sail regularly from Tarbert (10 miles) both to St Kilda and around the island. For those seeking a cultural taste of the island visit the Harris Gin Distillery also at Tarbert and sample the local gin and whisky or watch how traditional Harris tweed is made at Gearrannan Blackhouse Village (56 miles) a restored crofting village offering a unique insight into the history of the island. In the morning enjoy an invigorating start to the day in the bright smart shower room before heading down to breakfast. Stroll outside to the enclosed grassy garden and take in the superb views over the water. A small patio area at the side of the house is the perfect spot to sit and relax with a drink or enjoy a BBQ on milder evenings.
