Pretty in pink, Mariner’s Hard is an old fisherman's cottage situated in a prime location in the idyllic village of Cley-next-the-Sea with its famous windmill and pebble beach. With spectacular sea views from the two first floor bedrooms which are served by a shower room and bathroom respectively, and a ground floor bedroom with shower en-suite, this stylish property with its large living area and courtyard makes it easy for couples or a multi-generational family to holiday together in this sought-after picture-postcard coastal village.

This attractive and distinctive pink cottage hugs the coast road as it winds through the beautiful village of Cley-next-the-Sea. With far-reaching coastal views from the first floor this renovated cottage now opens up into a very large living room with comfortable sofas and a feature fireplace. Off this is a dining area which is light and bright, flooded with light from the french doors that lead onto the enclosed courtyard garden. The hand-crafted painted kitchen sits to the rear of the property and off the main living area you will find a ground floor bedroom with large bay window and a shower room en-suite, making it suitable for those who are looking for some single-floor living, right in the heart of Cley.

Retaining a wealth of character which sits nicely alongside modern, stylish and colourful furnishings, the further two double bedrooms are on the first floor and have high ceilings. Both are served by bathrooms. The master bedroom also comes with spectacular sea views across the marsh and with its own shower en-suite; whilst the second bedroom offers further coastal vistas and is served by the family bathroom.

Positioned right on the coast road, you are only a short stroll to The George pub/restaurant and its fabulous beer garden opposite. You will adore the tiny bakery (still a secret to many); a café with views; the renowned Picnic Fayre deli and shop; and of course the beach; coastal path and windmill. But if you don’t want to venture too far, then enjoy the sunshine in the private fully-enclosed rear-courtyard which provides a private and sheltered south-facing retreat from the village hustle and bustle. Take an early morning stroll to pick up breakfast pastries, warm bread and home-made jam from the yummy 'Pastonacre' bakery, then return to read the morning papers with a cappuccino (or two), before heading out for the day.

Additional Information:

Please note that the road is busy and the front door does open directly onto the road, however due to the narrowness of the village high street, the traffic is usually slow.

Being a characterful cottage, the staircase at the property is steep, tight and narrow and therefore care should be taken when ascending or descending the stairs.

Due to the above, this cottage is not dog-friendly and more suitable for children aged 12 years of age and over.
