Merrick cottage Scotland
Merrick is a detached lodge situated on a holiday park, two miles from the village of Colvend, near Dalbeattie on Scotland`s Solway Coast. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of one double with TV, en-suite shower and a balcony, a double with a shower in the room and an en-suite basin and WC, and a ground floor zip/link twin, along with a ground floor bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. Outside there`s off road parking for two cars, a communal lawned area and access to a fishing loch. A delightful lodge with many walks and cycle routes in the area.
The village of Colvend has a shop, a mobile Post Office and a season restaurant, and there`s a pottery shop nearby. Also, nearby Sandyhills Bay has a seasonal shop. This area of coastline, known as the Colvend and Southwick shore has many rugged cliffs and secret bays, and there`s walks and cycle routes in the area.
