This village is situated to the north of the city of Aberdeen and hugs the shoreline of the North Sea. With its beach and pretty sand dunes the area is very popular with visitors and wildlife spotters. The village itself has good local facilities with a small supermarket and selection of shops. The Balmedie Beach & Country Park is open all the year round and provides a children`s play area and picnic areas along with the wide and very clean beach.
