Dacre Cottage cottage Northumbria
A traditional, semi-detached property in the heart of Morpeth, this lovely house combines all the conveniences of modern living with the charm and character of a country cottage. There is a wood-burning stove in the sitting room, which is designed around an open-plan space with the dining area and a bright andwell-equipped airy kitchen. With two double and one twin bedded room, a bathroom and a shower room, this really is a versatile property that makes it ideal for families and friends alike. Outside space includes a small front garden and a rear courtyard with garden furniture. With so much to see and explore in the surrounding areas, this cottage is a perfect base from which to experience everything the region has to offer.
Morpeth is a beautiful little market town and is well placed to reach the countryside or the coast from its central location in the heart of Northumberland. The town has plenty to offer such as the ruins of a historic castle, parks, churches and an old chantry that houses a bagpipe museum. Further afield to the south lies the bustling city of Newcastle upon Tyne and northwards is the historic town of Alnwick with its castle and gardens, whilst over to the East, Druridge Bay has miles of glorious golden sands to be enjoyed by the whole family. Close by is the National Trust property of Wallington Hall and all around Morpeth there is good walking country with access to the Cheviot and the Simonside Hills, making this an ideal base for a holiday.
