Located on the original coaching route between London and Edinburgh Scremerston village is easily accessible from the A1 but remains a peaceful and tranquil part of the world. Not far from the Devils Causeway an old Roman road that runs from Hadrians Wall to the River Tweed this area has plenty to appeal for all the family from history buffs to lovers of outdoor pursuits who ll enjoy biking and hiking the coastal and hillside trails. The nearby River Tweed is one of the greatest salmon fishing rivers in the world while the vibrant and historic town of Berwick has plenty to offer visitors - from walks around the old city walls to the Lowry trail named in honour of L. S. Lowry a frequent visitor. With stunning and imposing coastal castles magnificent country houses and unmissable heritage sites like Hadrians Wall all within easy reach of the cottage this is an ideal location for an adventure-packed family holiday. The accommodation has been artfully decorated throughout in a neutral and contemporary style with plenty of attention to detail throughout. The open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen has comfortable seating and a feature electric fireplace while the kitchen area is equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms both under the eaves but with ample head height and large Velux windows to let the light flood in. The twin and double bedrooms share a contemporary tiled bathroom with a bathtub separate walk-in shower cubicle and WC. Outside theres a shared courtyard and plenty of seating and picnic areas throughout the shared grounds. Each property has its own private enclosed deck area with garden furniture accessed through glazed patio doors in the living area with lovely views over the surrounding countryside to the sea. Theres also an enclosed play paddock for the children with a trampoline slide and swings. Ample off road parking is also provided for guests. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 single. 1 bathroom bath, shower cubicle and WC. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Outdoor childrens paddock play area with slide, swings and trampoline. Feature electric fire. Electric and central heating included. Off road parking. Wi Fi. Regret no pets. Beaches within walking distance. Shops, pub and restaurant close by. TV/DVD. There is a no smoking policy (inc. E cigarettes & Vaping) throughout the properties and grounds of Woodlands' .
