Steamer Point Lodge cottage Dorset and Somerset

Steamer Point Lodge is a detached cottage in the Steamer Point Nature Reserve on the Christchurch coastline. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a king-size double and a twin room. There is also a bathroom, a well-equipped modern kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. Outside is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with a patio and furniture which enjoys fantastic views out of over the clifftop. Highchair available. Over 24 acres of clifftop nature reserve, situated between Highcliffe Castle and Friars Cliffe on the western Hampshire coast, on the southern boundaries of the New Forest and East Dorset, near the historic waterside town of Christchurch. The reserve was formerly part of the Highcliffe Castle estate, and was named after a steamer boat which ran aground back in 1830. Created a designated nature reserve in 2005, the area preserves the natural woodland of oak and hazel, providing habitats for many species of flora, animal and birdlife, offering peaceful trails through the trees.
