The village boasts a fine pub serving good food and ales as well as a renowned golf club which welcomes visitors. About a mile above the village can be found the world famous Ridgeway, thought to be Britain`s oldest road, 85 miles of track which mostly follows the chalk downland of Southern England which has been in constant use for 4000 years.
